Download

Q: How do I download the app to my smartphone?

The SPACETALK app is available for download from the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store. Other platforms are currently not supported. Search for SPACETALK or SPACETALK in either store.

Contacts

Q: How do I add contacts?

An unlimited number of contacts can be added to each SPACETALK watch. In the settings menu of the SPACETALK app, guardians can add new contacts in the Contact list section. During set-up, a contact can be selected from your list of contacts on your smartphone or by adding a new contact. Contacts can also be flagged as emergency contacts for use when the SPACETALK's SOS function is activated.

Q: How can I remove contacts from SPACETALK?

Contacts can only be deleted through the SPACETALK app. In the settings menu, click Contact list and then select the contact you wish to delete. Remove contact will appear.

Devices

Q: How do I pair a SPACETALK watch to an SPACETALK account?

Press the top left navigation menu of the SPACETALK app, click "+ Add Device" and follow the Add Device prompts. To be able to complete this make sure that:

+ The SPACETALK device is powered on.
+ The SPACETALK has an activated SIM card and is connected to the 3G network and data connection is available.
+ Enter the mobile phone number of the SPACETALK device you wish to pair.
+ You will receive a pairing code on SPACETALK.
+ Enter the pairing code to the SPACETALK app and your done.

Q: How many devices can I register on SPACETALK account?

The maximum number of devices that can be registered against an SPACETALK account is 5. Please note that the number of enabled devices is limited by the type of the subscription for that account.

Q: Can I install the SPACETALK app on multiple smartphones?

It is possible to share access to SPACETALK devices with multiple trusted users. NO ADDITIONAL SUBSCRIPTION is necessary for secondary accounts holders if they are only using sharing. To share SPACETALK watches, please follow these steps:

Secondary Account Holder
1. Download and install the SPACETALK app on your smartphone.
2. Open the app and create a new SPACETALK account.
3. Once all set up and account is confirmed, in the SPACETALK app select 'Add Device'.
4. Enter the phone number of the SPACETALK watch that you would like to request sharing access.
5. If the phone number is valid, the Primary Account Holder will receive a notification and can authorise your access to view the watch.

Primary Account Holder
1. On receipt of a sharing request, review carefully and then accept to authorise access.

Subscription

Q: Why is there a subscription fee?

When you need to know where your loved one is, approximations are not good enough. As part as our commitment to safety, we utilise highly accurate location tracking systems. Unlike many other products on the market, we use a combination of Google-Maps powered Wi-FI, tower triangulation and GPS to deliver the reliable locations, when you need it most. Part of your app subscription go towards covering these geolocation fees.

Additionally, we take the security of your data extremely seriously. We use enterprise-grade server architecture to host our data to ensure that the highest safety protocols are followed. The hosting costs involved with these are also factored into your subscription.

We are also constantly updating our apps and product firmware with new features. To maintain our high quality control standards, our development team designs and writes all of this here in Australia, rather than outsourcing this work offshore. When you contact SPACETALK customer support, you talk to a real employee, someone who works with the product and prides themselves in providing the best possible outcome for our customers, someone that values the SPACETALK community.

Q: What are my subscription options?

Monthly subscriptions can be purchased for up to 2 devices or up to 5 devices. In Australia the price is AUD$5.99 and AUD$8.99 per month respectively. In New Zealand NZD$6.99 and NZD$9.99 respectively.

Q: What do I need to know about subscription?

The primary SPACETALK account holder needs to have one active subscription to be able to set up and modify connected watches. Secondary SPACETALK account holders do not need to purchase a subscription if they are only sharing devices that a primary account holder has already set up.

Q: How can I upgrade my subscription?

Subscriptions can only be modified by the primary account holder that initiated the original subscription. To upgrade an existing subscription:

+ Open your SPACETALK app on your smartphone.
+ Make sure that the current Google Play/App Store account that is used on the phone is the same as the account that is used initially to purchase the subscription.

+ A list of the available subscriptions will be shown, select another subscription level and follow the prompts to complete the subscription upgrade.

Q: Can I downgrade my subscription?

Q: How can I cancel my subscription?

Cancellation of subscriptions are done through the respective app store using the primary account that the subscription was created.

For iOS
1. Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.
2. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen.
3. Tap View Apple ID. You might need to authenticate your Apple ID.
4. Tap Subscriptions.
5. Tap the subscription that you want to manage.
6. Use the options to manage your subscription. You can choose a different subscription offering, or tap Cancel Subscription to cancel your subscription. If you cancel, your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

For Android Phone
1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store.
2. Tap Menu and then Subscriptions.
3. Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
4. Tap Cancel subscription.
5. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Child safety and data security has been the number one priority during development of the SPACETALK children’s smartwatch.

SPACETALK has been designed in Australia, and the SPACETALK apps have been developed in Australia.

Our systems incorporate industry best practice data security throughout and cannot be hacked or spoofed like other products in this category. All data transmitted between SPACETALK and our SPACETALK apps uses enterprise-grade encryption. Data stored on our servers is encrypted and hosted in government and bank grade security centres in the Australia.

Great watch

It is a great watch and perfect for the interim time when the children are getting older but you don’t feel it is quite time for a phone.

The battery does not last long though and we haven’t yet managed to get it to last for a full day at school and then heading out after school for the evening.

I love the watch as does my 8 year old. All functions work really well. It’s brought piece of mind to me and my son. Unfortunately he dropped it on the pavement after only a week and the screen is smashed. Although it still works it doesn’t look great. It had the screen protector on too. Just feel could be a bit more robust for little hands.

Peace of mind.

Great device for keeping track of the kids even when you already know where they are. Lets them give you a quick call to let you know where they are going before they go. Needs charging every day though (which is no biggie) - just think of it like another mobile.
